Friday June 1 from 4-7 p.m. at the Liberty Garden in Eastsound

From Learner Limbach

Come on out for a pizza and garden party to help us kick off a brand new season of FEAST (Farm Education and Sustainability for Teens)! FEAST presents teens with an opportunity to delve into their community, while learning new skills, building relationships, and discovering different ways to interact with the local environment.

This year we are thrilled to offer a full spectrum of activities related to farming and sustainability including permaculture at the Bullocks Homestead, biodynamic farming on Lopez, bee-keeping, myco-remediation, natural building, rocket stove building, a trip to Waldron Island for seaweed harvesting and wildcrafting with Ryan Drum, growing food for the Farm-to-Cafeteria program, animal husbandry, and so much more!

There are still a few spaces available for the 2012 season. Past participants have found their summers of FEAST to be “fun, and life changing.” We will be at the Liberty Garden [Pioneer Park] in Eastsound on Friday, June 1, 4-7 p.m., rain or shine!

Get ready for wood fired pizza, live music, gardening, mingling, dancing, and plenty of inspiration!
