October 2nd 8 p.m. at Odd Fellows Hall
Savannah Fuentes presents her latest show, Northern Lights, at the Odd Fellows Hall in Eastsound October 2nd.
Northern Lights will be a presentation of Flamenco as interpreted by three very different artists; Puerto Rican/Irish dancer Savannah Fuentes, Guitarist Bobby de Sofia, and direct from Spain, singer Juañarito.
Seattle-native Savannah Fuentes has developed her craft in America (as opposed to Spain) and intentionally strives to distinguish her style as uniquely American. Guitarist Bobby de Sofia hails from Bulgaria and incorporates his cultural identity as well an organic relaxed style into his playing technique. Juañarito is a tremendous young talent from a long line of Spanish Roma Flamenco singers from the Andalusian province of Jerez de La Frontera (known as the cradle of Flamenco). The son of famed singer,Juañares and the nephew of Flamenco legend Jose Merce, Juañarito gained national acclaim in Spain as a result of his remarkable performances on The Spanish version of The Voice (La Voz España ) this year. He will be making his American debut in Northern Lights.
The 8 p.m. performance is the second date on a 35-stop North American tour, Savannah’s most extensive tour to date.
Tickets for the Northern Lights Fall Flamenco Tour show at the Odd Fellows Hall are general $20, VIP seats $35, student/low-income $15, kids $8. Tickets are available at https://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/2253291
