The San Juan County WSU Master Gardeners’ online Garden Workshop series includes four live lunchtime Zoom presentations this October

As climate conditions continue to challenge gardeners across the Pacific Northwest, the 2026 San Juan County WSU Master Gardeners’ Garden Workshop Series offers practical solutions from leading experts in ecological landscaping, water conservation, horticultural therapy, and resilient garden design.
The online Garden Workshop series includes four live lunchtime Zoom presentations this October:
- October 20: Native by Design: Reimagine Beauty with More Habitat, Less Lawn with Eileen Stark, ecological landscape designer and author
- October 22: Water-Wise Gardening in the Pacific Northwest with Laura Cooper, Snohomish County Master Gardener
- October 27: Horticultural Therapy or Therapeutic Horticulture? Understanding the Distinction in Practice with Dr. Leah Diehl, Director of Therapeutic Horticulture at the University of Florida
- October 29: Hardy Geraniums: Waterwise Beauties with Judy Cumming, San Juan County Master Gardener
Participants will learn how to support pollinators and wildlife, reduce water use, design sustainable landscapes, and explore the growing field of therapeutic horticulture.
All sessions include live discussion opportunities, and recordings will remain available to registrants through November 30. Registration for all four workshops is $35.
