Saturday, April 7, 12 Noon, Funhouse Commons

— from Emilie Gincig for Funhouse Commons —

Join the Funhouse Commons on Saturday, April 7, 12 p.m. for our annual Funhouse Science Fair and an Open House for our building remodel.

We’ll be kicking off the event promptly at noon with a live performance by The Banana Slug String Band, a quartet of musicians and environmental educators from California. This FREE family event is open to the public.

K-12 students from Orcas Island, and other islands, have been working hard to perfect their Science Fair projects.

Wandering Wizards will be present to judge all the entries and cast votes for the Richie Moore Rocket Ship of Wonder award, which is presented annually to the “best of show” entry.

Enjoy food, fun, live entertainment and cool exhibits by youth scientists of all ages. All participants will receive a prize, and $1,000 in college scholarships will be awarded to middle and high school students.

For more information call (360) 376-7177, visit www.funhousecommons.org, or email Emilie@thefunhouse.org.
