“An Asian OccAsian” is a Family Fun and FREE concert of dramatic Asian American storytellers coming to Orcas! Mark your calendars for Sept 13, 2:00-3:00 pm.
Folk tales and myths bring to the stage tales of tricksters, wise fools, and foolish kings, animals wise and witty will tickle your funnybone and warm the wisdom of your hearts.
Local storytellers Robert Kikuchi-Yngojo and Nancy Wang (a.k.a. Eth-Noh-Tec) along with their visiting member Riko Takata will perform stories from Japan, Philippines, China, Korea and more! The concert is great for all ages. Our stories are dramatic re-creations of traditional Asian folk tales and myths set to physical theater.
