Friday, Dec. 9, 5–7 p.m., School Cafeteria
Bring your whole family on what is sure to be a chilly Friday evening when the school cafeteria will be serving a “Souper Supper” made up of four different warm and wonderful soups cooked from scratch using many items prepped and frozen during the Farm to Cafeteria 5th and 6th Season events.
The menu also features fresh bread made by Mandy Randolph’s Farm to Classroom kids, and a Sayde’s crispy Caesar salad.
There is no charge for this great dinner.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for our Islanders to come together, share a table and experience fresh, scratch-cooked items our Island public school students receive at school,” says Kyle Freeman, Principal of the Elementary and Middle Schools who also oversees the school food services.
An added feature will be a huge array of deliciously irresistible desserts made by students, parents, teachers and local businesses that you may purchase with a donation to Farm to Cafeteria to eat there or take home.
“Our cafeteria staff makes culinary miracles happen in our 35-year old kitchen,” says Farm to Cafeteria Chair, Madie Murray. “This is also a celebration of them and the Island farms who have become our loyal partners.”
