— from Our Revolution of San Juan County (ORSJC) —
Election Day is next Tuesday, November 6th, and you should have your ballots and voters guide in hand by now. There is a new source of information for you to review when voting for candidates and initiatives. This guide was prepared by some very dedicated progressives that live and work with us here in the San Juan Islands.
Please take time to read this guide and educate yourself before filling out your ballots. Together, we will make Democracy work for us.

Why should voters take advice from groups who will not identify the individuals involved by their full names?
Go to the website to get the names of all the people who serve on the Our Revolution of San Juan County if you want to know the individuals by name instead of by their group affilitation
Margie – Election Friend’s web page lists only first names of the people who wrote this.
Maybe the larger question is this: is Orcas Issues comfortable giving a voice to unattributed political views?
Learner Limbach, Natalie Menacho, Cindy Wolf, and David Turnoy spearheaded the San Juan County version of the guide with support from Derek Hoshiko from Island County.
After the election of 2016, many of the Bernie Sanders supporters continued on in political education and activism — here in the islands it was through Our Revolution of San Juan County (ORSJC).
At the initial formation meeting of ORSJC at which more than 100 people participated, focus groups were formed. Because of those groups many successes were realized: our close and fervent ties with the Orcas Women’s Coalition, the strong and focused health of the Sound projects and activities, and I was helped last year in the presentation of eight public meetings and town halls on health care.
Again, ORSJC has reached out to our neighbors with suggestions on what a progressive vote would look like this year by creating our “Guillemot Guide”.
I am proud of the work we are doing in ORSJC and the Our Revolution organization nationally. Please feel free to contact us on Facebook or the national ourrevolution.com or the women activists at orcaswomenscoalition.org .
Please vote.
