Eastsound Planning and Review Committee will meet on Thursday at 3 p.m. for its regular monthly meeting.

The agenda will include an update from Orcas Island County Council members on the solid waste situation, Shoreline Marine Planning and Best Available Science policies regarding the Critiacal Areas Ordinance update.

Also for discussion are the Craftsman Corner  and Ocean Forest developments and updates on the Streetscape Plan and Constructed Wetlands and reports from EPRC members on their areas. Eastsound Sub-Area Plan Development Standards, which have been moved into the Uniform Development Code(UDC) Planning Docket, and review of the ‘Nelson file’ will be evaluated, with the goal of simplifying use tables, and evaluation of current design requirements.

EPRC Chair Gulliver Rankin says, The goal of the EPRC meetings is to provide regular review and comment on projects in the Sub Area Plan to citizens, the Planning Department, Hearings Examiner and County Council.
