Wednesday, July 4, 10 p.m., Waterfront Park
— from Lance Evans for Orcas Chamber of Commerce
The Chamber is thrilled to report that our annual Fourth of July Fireworks show in Eastsound is in-place, and ready to go on Wednesday, July 4. Viewing from the Waterfront Park and surrounding areas will be amazing. The Chamber believes the annual pyrotechnics show is an invaluable event that brings visitors to the island and delights hundreds of locals.
The cost of putting on a fireworks show has increased over the years. With stricter marine and Homeland Security regulations, and a barge rental charge, the Chamber no longer can absorb the cost into its normal operations budget. Our yearly cost is $14,000.
We need your help. Please be a sponsor or donor for this year’s show and help insure that we can continue the fireworks tradition in the years to come.
