Early Bird Registration is now open for the 14th Annual San Juan Islands Agricultural Summit, taking place on Friday, February 27 and Saturday, February 28, 2026, on San Juan Island. Farmers, food producers, land stewards, and community members from across the islands and beyond are invited to gather for two days of learning, connection, and collaboration.

This year’s Summit theme, “Growing Resilience,” calls participants to deepen our collective response to climate, land, and economic challenges—while celebrating what’s possible when island communities come together to strengthen local agriculture, food, fiber, and related systems. The Summit provides a space for inspiration, education, and camaraderie, rooted in the lived experience, priorities, and ideas of the regional agricultural community.

Event Overview
The 2026 San Juan Islands Agricultural Summit will feature in-person workshops on Friday, held at locations around Friday Harbor, followed by an evening social hour at the San Juan Island Grange. On Saturday, participants will gather at Friday Harbor High School for a full conference day that includes a keynote address, concurrent
sessions, farmer-led presentations, panels, and opportunities for networking and shared meals.

Keynote speaker for 2026 will be Helen Atthowe, farmer, author, and educator. A national leader in ecological farming, Helen brings more than 35 years of experience connecting food systems, conservation, and soil health. Her recent book, The Ecological Farm, offers a visionary yet practical guide to no-till, no-spray, living-mulch systems that work in partnership with nature.

Summit programming reflects community input and spans both whole-systems perspectives and hands-on practices, techniques, and tools. Throughout the event, the Summit will continue to center conversations about what it means to be in right relationship with the original stewards of these lands, the Coast Salish Peoples.
