||| FROM LINDA SLONE for ORCAS ISLAND CHAMBER MUSIC FESTIVAL |||
At 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 9, tickets to the 25th season of the Orcas Island Chamber Music Festival will be available outside the Festival office for local patrons! Arrive in person any time from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and take advantage of this traditional “Early Birds” opportunity before sales open to the general public. For years, islanders have lined up to select their concerts and seats, and the Festival is so excited to continue this time-honored tradition.
Festival staff and volunteers will be outside, helping with ticket orders and answering questions about this summer’s music and musicians. OICMF asks that patrons wear masks, remain outdoors, and maintain social distance throughout the ticketing process.
Later that evening, at 7 p.m. PDT, online ticket sales open to the public. Tickets can be purchased through the Orcas Island Chamber Music Festival website, oicmf.org.
The 2022 Season, August 4-20, features unforgettable music, including the dynamic trio Time for Three, as well as world-renowned trumpeter Jens Lindemann, acclaimed violinist Chee-Yun, the Miró Quartet, Festival Founder and Artistic Director Aloysia Friedmann, and Artistic Advisor Jon Kimura Parker.
For those who are unable to attend the concerts in person, one of each of the five concert pairs on the Orcas Center Main Stage will be livestreamed, and free livestream tickets will be available on the OICMF website.
For more information, please contact the Festival office at 360-376-6636 or email us at info@oicmf.org.
