Saturday, March 11, 12:30 p.m., Random Howse
— from Cindy Carter —
This year’s Eagle Forum (EF) Annual meeting is on Saturday, Mar. 11 at 12:30 p.m. at Random Howse. EF of SJC will host Erika Shook, from the San Juan County Planning Department, who will, along with County Commissioner Rick Hughes and Mark Thompkins, San Juan County Health & Community Services Director, give a presentation on the recommendations by the Advisory Committee on Affordable Housing in San Juan County, and future plans currently being considered by the County Commissioners. This will impact all San Juan County residents and being informed is the first step in having a say in the matter.
Faith Heath will also be sharing about her youth, growing up in Cuba, and her life in Saudi Arabia with her pilot husband John. Faith has many interesting stories of her times abroad.
The meeting will include a luncheon, with the cost being a donation. All are welcome to attend this informative meeting.
Also at the meeting, new officers for the Eagle Forum of SJC will be installed. If anyone would like to be involved, please contact us.
RSVP to cindy@orcasonline.com to attend the Mar. 11 luncheon. We hope to see you there.

This should be a good meeting to hear suggestions and feedback from some of our county officials on this housing issue.
