Orcas Hill Road looking south onto Harney Channel and Orcas Village. Crews are constructing the knuckle in Orcas Hill Road.
The detour road is active as of Monday July 31. Crews are placing embankment for the retaining wall, installing drainage structures, and dressing slopes with topsoil.
Road construction activities on Orcas Hill Road require a detour route. The detour effects access on Orcas Hill Road north of the WSF tollbooth, transferring all traffic onto the new road and through the construction zone. Access to Orcas Hill Road is located at the new Y intersection of Orcas Road and the WSF Access Road. Temporary traffic control signage is in place and flaggers are present as necessary.
