Deer Harbor Plan Review Committee will hold its regular monthly Public Meeting at the Deer Harbor Community Center,  4319 Deer Harbor Road this Wednesday, August 14, 2013 from  1:30to 3:30 p.m.

The agenda call for a discussion of changes in Water System Requirements January 1, 2014; comments regarding:

  • Cookston Long Plat Permit Application
  • Latest Deer Harbor Resort Tear Down and Re-Build Submission. Comments to Annie Matsumoto-Grah, Planner II San Juan County Community Development & Planning
  • Progress on Channel Road Bridge replacement
  • Proposed contract between San Juan County Solid Waste Systems Operations and Service Agreement (Orcas Solid Waste Facility) and San Juan County General Solid Waste Disposal District & Orcas Recycling Services (a Washington Nonprofit Corporation)

The agenda also calls for:

  • a report by Orcas Councilman Rick Hughes on GMA compliance;
  • a sub-committee to consider public works, bike paths, how to get people from here to there;
  • OPALCO Broadband;
  • new members for DH Advisory Body- DH resident Alan Stameisen has expressed a desire to be considered for future appointment to the Deer Harbor Plan Review Committee;
  • lack of parking near post office, marina, and resort.etc. as well as damaged asphalt at the exit from the post office;
  • comments on County Clerk Corner- summary of what is going on in the community.
