THIS WEEK’S CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES

Construction crews will pour concrete and use the Bidwell machine to finish the bridge deck surface. Afterwards, crews will grade the new Channel Road alignment leading to the new, permanent concrete bridge. Crews will also place rocks along the bridge footings to form a protective barrier called scour protection, which helps to lessen the effects of erosion caused by waves.

The warmer weather will help with concrete work. Drive safely.
