||| FROM LIBBY GARCIA for DEATH CAFE |||

Begun in Europe, reshaped in the UK by Jon Underwood, Death Café spread into a global forum. The motto: “To increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives.”

Topics are diverse as the people who attend, including metaphysics, grief, hospice versus palliative care, physiology of death, advanced care directives, dying differently, death doulas, slow medicine, green burials, medical aid in dying  (or Death with Dignity).

Death Café endorses no particular perspective and offers a supportive open structure to encourage a rich community conversation.  About death.  With cake!

WHEN:  Saturday February 10, from 1-3
WHERE:  Emmanuel Episcopal Church Parish Hall, Eastsound
COST: Free! (any donations will go to the church, with gratitude.)
