Your donations make Orcas Issues: News and Views happen!
As of July 1, 2012, Orcas Issues www.orcasissues.com serves about 18,000 regular visitors (average daily page views). We have over 600 daily email digest subscribers, and the number grows consistently each week. For the past three years, we’ve provided daily, reliable, accurate and thoughtful articles, opinion pieces and comments – every day!
We hope you find it a valuable service and are willing to pay a nominal fee to continue that service. Our writers, graphics and website staff all deserve island-rate compensation – at least – and we hope you are willing to help underwrite that by making a monthly payment or a one-time contribution through our donation page, or by check to Orcas Issues, P.O. Box 582 Eastsound WA 98245.
Thank you for your continuing generosity!

Wow, those numbers are IMPRESSIVE! You’re the best.
I think Margie Doyle is offering something that no one else has the temerity to do and she is doing it handsomely, and with professionalism! Who else could start, maintain, and exponentially grow a start-up magazine like Margie has?
Does it take courage?…of course it does, and she has the help of a professional like Lin McNulty to back her up. To put forward opinions and views that would otherwise be nonacceptable by the local newspaper is to Margie’s credit and integrity.
I support her in her endeavors, her courage, and I will conntribute to her coffers. Keep on keeping on Margie and Lin!!!!! Terry Johnson
Margie:
I urge you to try a subscription fee of $ 10 per month.
I pay a lot more to get the WORLD NEWS from the New York Times, the FINANCIAL NEWS from the WALL STREET JOURNAL, and similarly for THE ECONOMIST.
But ORCAS ISSUES provides me some of the BEST NEWS – information on a timely basis in my backyard. My ‘keeping current’ news – no matter where I am.
Thank you and your team ….an incredibly valuable service that you provide.
Perhaps, Mr. Cohen, you “pay a lot more” to get the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, the Economist and possibly other financial and business publications because you can afford to do so. Many of us, for a variety of reasons, cannot afford a $10 monthly subscription. Many of us make small, one-time donations to support as many organizations, publications, etc. as we can … so we very much appreciate, and will financially support when possible, good, local resources and services such as Orcas Issues provides. And hopefully the folks who can afford a monthly donation will do so. Thank you, Margie, for providing this for us. I’ll send a donation when I can…
Very impressive! Thanks for all your hard work!
