March 11 — Story of My Life by Lucy Score
A cozy small-town romance with a slow burn and a few well-placed hot scenes. We’ll compare the book’s charming fictional town to our own island life and talk about the genre’s favorite male prototypes (grumpy? broody? emotionally unavailable until page 300?).
May 13 — The Idea of You by Robinne Lee
This famously steamy novel about a 39-year-old woman and a 20-year-old pop star launched a thousand debates—and a film starring Anne Hathaway. We’ll compare the book to the movie and talk about age gaps, fame, fantasy, and why this story hit such a cultural nerve.
July 8 — Surprise Summer Pick
A surprise book for summer reading season with a visit by the author if all goes right.
September 9 — Bet Me by Jennifer Crusie
Jennifer Crusie is widely considered the godmother of the modern rom-com. Bet Me is a glorious mix of destiny, chaos theory, Krispy Kreme donuts, the spirit of Elvis, Chicken Marsala, and a gamble for the highest stake of all: true love. Expect Nora Ephron style laughs.
November 11 — Just Last Night by Mhairi McFarlane
A heartfelt and funny novel about lifelong friendships, long-buried secrets, and unexpected love, told with McFarlane’s signature British wit and emotional intelligence.
