As a cornerstone of our legacy, we continue to invest in the future of the skilled trades through our formalized Apprenticeship Program. We apprentice four trades: Marine Electrician, Production Welder, Machinery Assembler, and Shipfitter-Fabricator.

Dakota Creek Industries Apprenticeship Program:
The Apprentice Program Application for the 2025 season is now open! Applications are due by May 1st, 2025.

We invite all interested individuals to apply and embark on an exciting and rewarding career in the skilled trades. Dakota Creek Industries, Inc. (DCI) is proud to offer a structured three-year apprenticeship program approved by the Washington State Apprenticeship and Training Council (WSATC). This program combines on-the-job training (OJT) with related supplemental instruction (RSI), providing apprentices with practical, classroom, and technical training.

Program Highlights:

  • Earn While You Learn: Apprentices receive a living wage throughout the program, with periodic raises reflecting increased experience and dedication.
  • Certification and Degree: Graduates earn an internationally recognized trade certification and a Multi-Occupational Trades Associate Degree from Skagit Valley College.
  • Industry-Driven Skills: Apprentices gain essential skills through training that meets or exceeds industry standards.
