EncSummary: After leaving the T46Bs and T49C, we headed for Flattop Island, where the T124As and T124A4s were reported. We got on scene at 16:35 as the whales appeared to be finishing up a hunt on the east side of Flattop Island. The group went on a long dive before popping up on the northwest side of Flattop, before taking another long dive and surfacing closer to White Rock. With the whales zig-zagging all over the place, we got our first chance for a photo-ID pass at about 17:00. We stayed for two surface sequences before calling it a day, ending the encounter at 15:10 and returning to Snug at 17:38 after a successful intern training day. |
