Children’s House is honored to host Chef Tom Douglas once again in our Orcas Island Children’s House culinary program! Perhaps the Northwest’s most widely known chef, Tom Douglas has helped define “Northwest Cuisine,” starting with Dalia Lounge in 1989, followed by such venues as Lola, Etta’s Seafood , and Palace Kitchen, Serious Pie, and Teatro ZinZanni. Douglas won the 1994 James Beard Award for Best Northwest Chef and is author of Tom Douglas’ Seattle Kitchen, Tom’s Big Dinners in 2003, and most recently I Love Crab Cakes!
There are a few tickets left for our big finale event on Thursday, July 8 from 4 – 7 p.m. at Red Rabbit Farm in Westsound. Ticket cost is $125 per person.
Funds raised will benefit Children’s House, an early learning center for Orcas
children ages infant through six years old. Visit www.oich.org or call Children’s House at 376.4744 for tickets.

I encourage everyone who can to attend this event. Tom is a hoot and very skilled and creative. Tell him “hi” from me. I used to work for him.
