Friday, December 21, 7:30 p.m., Orcas Center

We are excited to let you know about a concert we are doing at the ORCAS CENTER on FRIDAY DECEMBER 21 at 7.30 p.m. We are calling it “Home for Christmas” and it is a blend of American Folk and a traditional English Christmas.

The Crow Valley String Band will be hosting playing some new and some familiar tunes. Brograss will bring their brotherly harmonies to the stage with a bluegrass influence. Dave Zoeller will join the band for some tunes and songs, bringing his lilting voice and guitar skills to the mix and Rob Eagle will join Kaj for a soulful guitar duet.

To bring an English feel to the evening they will be joined by Rachel’s Dad, Bob Bishop, who sang formerly with the D‘Oyly Carte Opera Company singing some Christmas favourites and Howard Barbour reading from “A Child’s Christmas in Wales.” Tiffany Loney  rounds out the guests and will be dancing to live music from the band.

Just $10 gets you in the door to spend Winter Solstice evening with friends and community. Tickets are available through the Orcas Center www.orcascenter.org.  It’s only one night and tickets are already selling fast.
