Expected to last through April 26
— from Terri Rodgers, Director, Orcas Island Park and Recreation —
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Orcas Island Park and Recreation District is suspending ALL activities and programs immediately. We will monitor the situation on a regular basis and respond accordingly regarding the re-instatement of activities and programs. At a minimum, we expect this interruption to last through April 26, 2020.
Again, this includes all drop-in programs for adults and all youth sports activities, as well as, all dance and all choral programs.
Please note, Buck Park remains open to the general public. We encourage families to enjoy the park. However, please refrain from gathering in large numbers and practice social distancing.
We recognize the COVID-19 situation will be a burden on families and it pains us to postpone programs that support families and our youth. However, the health and safety of our community, participants, staff and their families are our top priority.
Please don’t hesitate to contact our office via phone or email with any questions. We will communicate via email and postings on our website and Facebook page.
