The Orcas Island Senior Services Advisory Committee has produced a local coupon book, with participation from 97 vendors.
All funds received from the sale of the discount coupon books go to Orcas Senior Center services. The Advisory Committee has had 400 books printed up; the books cost $20 each and are “full of savings from Orcas Island businesses,” says Gwyneth Burrill, Advisory Committee Chair.
“Using two to four of the coupons will pay for the book!
“A suggestion for coupons a person may not use — gift them for someone else by placing them inside a card (birthday, etc).”
Books are currently being sold at Chamber of Commerce, Jillery, Wood’s Cove and some Saturdays at Island Market. Look for vendor signs in participating stores.
Coupons in the book are valid for one year from June 1, 2010 to June 1, 2011.
