||| FROM SAN JUAN COUNTY COMMUNICATIONS |||

San Juan County offices will be closed to the public on Wednesday, June 19 in observance of Juneteenth – the celebration commemorating the end of slavery in the United States.

San Juan County Council issued a proclamation at the June 13, 2023 Council Meeting recognizing the holiday and the County’s commitment to honor the milestone of American Justice. You can read the proclamation here.

Unlike other federal holidays, such as Memorial Day and Labor Day, that are observed on a specific day of the week, Juneteenth is celebrated on the actual day and County offices will be closed.

Regular business hours and operations will resume on Thursday, June 20, 2024.
