The San Juan County Democratic Party (SJCD) will hold its 2014 county convention at 11:30 am on Saturday, April 12 at the Grange Hall in Friday Harbor.
All registered voters of San Juan County who consider themselves to be Democrats are invited to attend this meeting for purposes of proposing, nominating, discussing, and voting on the following three agenda items: 1) Resolutions and platform planks to be forwarded to the State Democratic Party for discussion and vote at its state convention on June 21 in Spokane; 2) Voting to appoint two delegates to the June 21 state convention; and 3) Voting to appoint one representative to each of the following three committees of the State Democratic Party: Platform, Credentials, and Rules.
The existing SJCD Party platform, which will serve as the basis for the development of the new platform, can be viewed at www.sjdemocrats.org.
