The San Juan County Council will conduct an Early Start Special Meeting on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 in the Legislative Hearing Room, 55 Second Street, Friday Harbor beginning at 8:45 AM. The purpose of the special meeting is to continue the Public Hearing on an Ordinance Regarding Critical Area Regulations for Geologically Hazardous Areas and Frequently Flooded Areas.

The Council’s regular meeting agenda will follow and begin at 10:00 AM.  Through videoconferencing at the Orcas and Lopez libraries, citizens will be able to address the Council during citizen’s access and the Public Hearing beginning at 10 AM. At that time the Public Hearing will address the Annual General Fund Revenues, with Pete Rose, County Administrator.

The videoconference portion of the meeting will conclude following that hearing.

  • Discussion by the Agricultural Resources Committee (ARC) Recommendation on Voluntary Stewardship Program with Peggy Bill, Coordinator; Janice Biletnikoff, Planner III; Randall Gaylord, Prosecuting Attorney

  2. Continued Stormwater Funding Update – Ed Hale, Utility Manager
  3.  Fair Master Plan Update – Dona Wuthnow, Parks and Fair Director; Rev Shannon, Fair & Events Manager
  • Discussion regarding the Building Advisory Council Amended Ordinance (2nd touch)with Rene Beliveau, Director CDPD
