The Orcas Council of Churches is hosting an ecumenical “Evening of Gratitude” to lead off the holiday season on Wednesday, November 21st at 7:00 p.m. at the Emmanuel Parish Hall. Dessert, coffee and cocoa will be provided by the participating churches. There will not be any service offered, but an open invitation to share expressions of gratitude with the group. All are welcome.
The Orcas Council of Churches is a non-denominational group of spiritual leaders representing Orcas Island fellowships of faith who meet regularly to coordinate efforts, share resources, worship together and “till the common ground” to meet the needs of the community. Participating churches include Emmanuel Episcopal Parish, St. Francis Catholic Parish, Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, Community Church, Lutheran Church and the Seventh Day Adventist Church. The Council is open to all faith groups.
