Christina Orchid will once again host a “Cooking in the Barn” series this spring to benefit Children’s House.
The former chef/owner of Christina’s Restaurant who now instructs budding chefs at Seattle Culinary Institute, Christina will be teaching a four week series in May at Christina and Bruce Orchid’s Red Rabit Farm.
The May Series will focus on local products, and Christina says,”It’s all about a new way of cooking: Five ways — a chicken, a salmon, a cut of Pork. Five meals for four people that are delicious, tasty, economic and easy.”
Then the series is capped off with the Brown Bag Cook-off. Learn how a chef thinks on the fly, how to create meals from what is in the pantry, the garden or the farmers market.
May 5, One Chicken five meals for 2-4
May 12, One Salmon (9-12lbs) five meals 4-6
