San Juan County Public Works is pleased to announce Mike Carlson Enterprises, Inc., has been awarded the contract for construction of the Orcas Landing Marine Facility Improvements capital project.
The project entails construction of block retaining walls, ADA pedestrian ramp with hand railing and resurfacing of a soon to be accessible public viewing area. Work includes; clearing, rock excavation, demolition and removal of obstructions, utility relocation and other work.
Construction is slated to begin in September of this year, with a target for completion of the facility improvements by the end of 2018.
Public Works looks forward to collaborating with the contractor to minimize inconveniences that may result from construction activities, and to achieve a quality product for the public to appreciate.
