||| FROM SHERIFF ERIC PETER for SJC SHERIFF’S OFFICE |||

The San Juan County Sheriff’s Office would like the community to join us in congratulating Sergeant Herb Crowe on his upcoming retirement.
Herb has served the citizens of San Juan County for over 24 years and will be retiring on May 24, 2023. Herb began his career with the San Juan County Sheriff’s Office on December 13, 1999, as a patrol deputy on Orcas Island.

Herb was promoted to the rank of Sergeant on June 1, 2015 and has worked as the patrol supervisor on Orcas Island since his promotion. Herb has been a staple in the community for many years and his service to our citizens and visitors has been truly appreciated and will be missed.

Thank you, Sergeant Herb Crowe, for your dedication and service to the safety and welfare of everyone in our community. Your knowledge and experience will be missed, and we wish you the happiest of journeys on your next adventure.

We will be having a community celebration of Sergeant Herb Crowe on Friday March 31, 2023, in Eastsound at Fire Station 21 on Mt. Baker Road. The event will take place between 12:00 Noon and 5:00 PM. Hot dogs will be served (while they last).
