The Orcas Island School District invites the community to a “visioning” session for the proposed new school building project.  Mahlum, the architects for the proposed project, will conduct the workshop on November 18 at 5 p.m. in the school cafeteria.

“The visioning process is a valuable opportunity for the architects to understand the community dynamic and to build consensus about ideas for the new school project,” says PTSA President Barb Skotte.  Mahlum will illustrate concepts through sketches and brainstorm ideas through open discussion.

Collaboratively the group will develop alternatives, inspire “outside of the box” thinking, and  work toward a shared concept for the proposed new buildings.

The meeting is open to all parents and community members.  376-2284.
