Wednesday, November 7, 8 – 11:30 a.m., Emmanuel Episcopal Church
— from Erin O’Dell for Community Resource Center —
In 2016, the Washington Department of Social and Health Services established a goal of decreasing poverty by half by 2025 in a way that eliminates disparities. To inform this goal, we are touring the state and holding community listening forums to learn about the unique experiences of economic hardship in Washington and to experience the community-led efforts to promote intergenerational opportunity and economic success. We believe that we can make significant progress only by lifting up the work that is already having an impact in Washington communities.
Hosted by: Lopez Island Family Resource Center, Orcas Community Resource Center, Joyce L. Sobel Family Resource Center, San Juan County Health and Community Services, Opportunity Council and Washington State Department of Social and Health.
