— from Orcas Recycling Services/Exchange —

This fall Orcas Recycling Services/Exchange are bringing you the second “Talking Trash” offering by having open meetings throughout the island in October to share new ideas and educate folks about ways to deal with food waste.  There are lots of ways people are currently composting on many levels – from home to gardens to animal manure and field vegetation, to restaurants and other plant based businesses. We invite folks to join any of our three meetings to share ideas, discuss their own successes and/or problems and explore new models and ways to deal with composting on personal, community and Island Wide levels.

Each meeting will kick off with a brief catch up on the latest  ORS/Exchange happenings and some of the specific projects and accomplishments  that we have gotten underway from community input and suggestions from the first Talking Trash.

All of the upcoming October meetings will be from 6-8 pm on Tuesdays.
