In anticipation of a second round of storms expected to punch through the area on Saturday, the Severe Weather Shelter will be open in the Community Church basement from 7 p.m. Saturday evening – 8 a.m. Sunday morning. Winds of 30 to 45 mph with gusts to 65 mph are possible Saturday night.
Thanks so much to Janine and her dedicated volunteers and Dimitri Stankevich at Orkila and his team for helping to make this happen. Hopefully the shelter won’t be needed, but good to be prepared, and it’s a great dress rehearsal for the earthquake.
