Friends of Moran will host the Annual Park Clean Up on Saturday, April 3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Friends say: “We’ll meet at the Park Shelter behind the new Kokanee Fish Hatchery Building at 10am for coffee and morning treats.  Rangers will provide instructions and tools, but all are encouraged to bring gloves along with rakes & shovels.

” There will be a free lunch, beginning at 12:30 p.m. in the big day use shelter with a crackling fire and a lively lecture lead by Russel Barsh who will illuminate Moran wildflowers and Cascade Lake geology.  Orcas High School’s Key Club will be on site to lend a hand.

“Free hats or shirts to the first 20 individuals who sign up, work hard, get dirty, and have a great time. Visit the Friends of Moran Park online, find a hidden question, and be the first to bring the answer to Linda and receive a Friends windbreaker from the Summit Shop.

“Get out, get involved. Do you part for our park.”
