— from Learner Limbach for Orcas Food Co-op —
Dear Orcas Island Community –
Starting March 23, Orcas Food Co-op will be making changes to our operations all with the intention of making your life easier — and all of us safer. To that end, we are creating a new Curbside Pickup system, as well as the option for Home Delivery.
Our number one priority is to protect the health of our community and our staff, and are working diligently and in coordination with the county and other local partners to ensure we are able to effectively and safely meet our community’s needs.
As we move toward a higher volume of Curbside Pickup and Home Delivery, we recommend setting up a Charge Account at the Co-op right away to ensure that your account is ready to use in time for your first order when you need it. Charge Accounts are available to everyone, regardless of whether you are a Co-op Member. Charge accounts may be set up by emailing Regina at bookkeeper@orcasfood.coop. Payment by card over the phone prior to pick up or delivery will also be available as an option.
To learn more about all of this, please join a virtual Town Hall via Zoom using the information below.
Sunday March 22, 7-8pm
By Phone: 1-669-900-6833, Pin: 296 595 489
From a Computer: https://zoom.us/j/296595489
The Town Hall will begin with updates from the Co-op’s Management Team:
Learner Limbach, General Manager
Natalie Menacho, Operations Manager
Regina Zwilling, Office Manager
We will talk about new protocols to ensure safe handling of groceries for our customers and discuss how orders will be taken. There will also be an opportunity to take your questions.
We are excited about the new changes, and hope you will be too. We hope to upload a recording of the Town Hall following the event. If you can’t make the Town Hall, look for information in Orcas Issues, on Facebook, our website, and the Sounder.
We gratefully serve this wonderful community and are inspired by the work that we are all doing together.
