Senior Project and Paper Presentations

June 10th, 11:00-12:30 (OIHS)

All graduates from Orcas Island High School are required to complete both a senior paper and project as part of their senior year social studies classes (Contemporary World Issues and Civics). Students will present information regarding the work they have done this year to meet this graduation requirement. Parents and the community are invited to attend these presentations. We do request that audience members arrive between 10:45 and 11:00 and plan to remain for the entire presentation schedule. Students will be assigned to present in classrooms with up to four presentations per room.

Orcas Island High School Celebration of Success

Friday, June 13th, 10 am (OIHS Gym)

The members of the Class of 2025 will gather with our school community, families and Orcas Island/San Juan County scholarship grantors to celebrate the achievements of members of the graduating class and the awarding of local scholarships. This event will be followed by a barbecue lunch hosted by the OIHS ASB for all in attendance. This event is planned to be an in-person event. Streaming link will be provided on our school website.

Orcas Island High School Graduation

Saturday, June 14th, 2 pm (OIHS Gym)
|
Families and community members are invited to celebrate the graduation of the Orcas Island High School Class of 2025. Commencement will begin promptly at 2 pm in the high school gym. Seating and parking can be limited. We suggest you give yourself plenty of time to find parking and to be seated prior to the 2 pm start of ceremonies. We will have a live stream link shared on the Orcas Island High School website on the day of graduation.

Orcas Island High School Graduates Parade |
June 14th, following graduation (approx. start 3:45-4:00) |
Following the graduation ceremony the parents of the senior class invite the entire Orcas Island community to celebrate graduation with an Orcas style parade around Eastsound. The parade will begin shortly after the end of the graduation ceremony. We anticipate the parade to begin between 3:45 pm and 4 pm and to circle through town and around greater Eastsound. We hope you’ll join us in sending off our graduates along the parade route.
