Children’s House preschool students proudly take turns, each drawing one of the three winning tickets.

In conjunction with a nutrition program, early learning center Children House is again offering a restaurant raffle, “Table for Two,” which gives winners the opportunity to enjoy meals or drinks for two at notable local establishments.

Participants this year have a choice of entering three separate drawings, distinguished by restaurant value and offering. Raffle tickets are priced at $20, $10 and $5 making it more accessible for everyone. Three lucky winners will have a chance to sample some of Orcas’ finest food or drinks for two at locations across the island.

Raffle sales begin April 7 and can be purchased from Children’s House families, online via www.oich.org, weekends outside Island Market and at the Farmers Market in May. The restaurant raffle concludes May 12 when three winning tickets will be drawn from their booth at the Farmer’s Market; winners not present will be notified and meals enjoyed any time throughout the year.

Featured meals or drinks for two are provided this year through the generosity of 20 local companies, including New Leaf, Rosario, Red Rabbit Farm, Mijitas, Roses and Hogstone’s Wood Oven & Aelder — just to name a few. New additions this year include Wild Island, Champagne, Boathouse and Doe Bay Wine Co. For a complete list of participating establishments visit oich.org.

Proceeds benefit the toddler and preschool programs of Children’s House, which hopes to raise $5,000. Preschoolers this year will host the winner to an afternoon tea, serving cucumber sandwiches, tea and homemade teapot cookies.
