Some of the Orcas Island Chamber Music Festival Early Birds

By the 10 a.m. start, 40 community members had secured their place in line for the Orcas Island Chamber Music Festival’s 2009 Early Bird event.

There were a record number of sales throughout the day with telephone and walk-in sales continuing throughout the day.

About half of the Early Bird group are pictured in the above photo. A drawing for 12 prizes honoring the 12th Season of concerts was a surprise reward concocted by Mary Poletti, Event Leader.

Harvey Aldort was the earliest bird, first in line shortly after 4 a.m. Aldort was a prize winner as well.

Concert and Music Lovers’ Seminar tickets continue to be on sale for the August 16-29 Chamber Music Festival through the box office at 376-2281. For questions regarding programming or artists’ performance schedules, contact the Orcas Island Chamber Music Festival Office at 376-6636.
