By the 10 a.m. start, 40 community members had secured their place in line for the Orcas Island Chamber Music Festival’s 2009 Early Bird event.
There were a record number of sales throughout the day with telephone and walk-in sales continuing throughout the day.
About half of the Early Bird group are pictured in the above photo. A drawing for 12 prizes honoring the 12th Season of concerts was a surprise reward concocted by Mary Poletti, Event Leader.
Harvey Aldort was the earliest bird, first in line shortly after 4 a.m. Aldort was a prize winner as well.
