Saturday, May 5, 2 – 4 p.m., 67 Glenwood Inn Road
— from Joey Mount —
John Wallace Mount was an Island Icon, giving many gifts to the Islanders, including being a key player in the initial set-up of the first dial-up telephones in the 50s ,and being instrumental in the formation of the Radio Controlled Airplane group, seen flying their models most sunny days on Mount Baker Road.
But his biggest contribution, offering us all forms of entertainment since 1960, was the creation of The Seaview Theatre. His quiet humor, knowing smile, and “See you at the Movies” will be greatly missed.
There will be a Celebration of Life for John Wallace Mount. (1929-2017) at Anne Mount Hay’s Home, 67 Glenwood Inn Road on May 5th, 2018, from 2 – 4 p.m.
Parking will be above, along Glenwood Inn Rd. Limited parking space. Please carpool if possible.
A Shuttle will be provided or enjoy the 1/2 mile walk down to House.

I was a graduate of Orcas High School in 1961. For 4 years I acted in the H.S. English annual stage plays which were usually held in the gym. With the opening of the Mount Seaview Theater, John invited the H.S. to have their play at this new Theater. A lifetime thrill to have a true stage experience. Thanks John.
