Each year the month of April is set aside as National Poetry Month to celebrate poets and their craft.  The Orcas Public Library will be celebrating National Poetry Month with a poetry display and an Open Mic night. Poets of ALL ages are encouraged to participate.  

We are accepting up to two original poems by Friday March 29. Poems should be limited to no more than one page in length. You can email  your poems to Mary Pugh at mpugh@orcaslibrary.org  The Library staff will prepare the poems for display in the Library.

Poems will be displayed until April 30.  You can sign up to read your poem or read your favorite poem at the public poetry Open Mic on Thursday April 25 at 6 p.m.
