On Saturday, July 16 you will find many happy visitors on the east side of Orcas enjoying the annual Olga Daze event.
Starting at 10:00 am there will be something for everyone: a terrific Yard Sale; a Silent Auction with many services and articles on which to bid, including Fine Art, Jewelry, Whale Watching, Kayaking, and Cafe Olga Blackberry Pie!
There will be wonderful food available all day, including hot dogs, Italian sausage, baked potatoes, and strawberry shortcake.
Among the fun activities are all-day live music with JP and the Rhythm Boys; a bake sale with those famous maple bars; and a parade at 12:00 pm in which everyone present is invited to join.
The Quilt raffle and Silent Auction bidding will close at 2:30 pm and the festivities will wrap up at 3:00 pm.

OOOPS! Minor correction about “all-day live music. . .” above: JP and the OK Rhythm Boys will indeed join the festivities just after the parade, but also, throughout the day, the Olga Daze stage will be graced by “Local Folk” (Carl Burger and Marc Cohen), by members of Matthew Olson’s Orcas Strings Studio, and by the return of the ever popular Parking Angles! Fun for all!! Be there!!
SPECIAL BULLETIN: “Orcas Has Talent” Tuba/Sax Twosome of Al Bennett/Wally Walrath have now also agreed to perform, AND to join in the Parade. Can’t wait!
