Saturday evening & Sunday afternoon, December 10 & 11, Orcas Center

— from Lynn Baker —

captureWhether the holidays to you mean on with the snow, Santa’s coming, the Festival of Lights, or the Christ child, the Orcas Choral Society’s winter concert has a song or two or more for you. Get into the spirit by joining us, Dec. 10 and 11, at the Orcas Center. You’ll probably find yourself singing along.

“We have something for everyone,” said Marianne Lewis, artistic director, “traditional carols, beautiful spiritual works, and lighthearted songs that are just plain fun. It’s a combination that brings out all the joys and wonders of the season.”

Titled “Deck the Halls: A Tapestry of Favorites Old and New,” the Orcas Choral Society will perform the concert twice: Saturday, Dec. 10 at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday afternoon, Dec. 11, at 2 p.m. Both performances will be on the main stage at the Orcas Center, 917 Mt. Baker Rd., in Eastsound.

Tickets are $15 for adults, $5 for students, available at the Orcas Center box office at www.orcascenter.org or by calling 376-2281.

The Orcas Choral Society is in its 38th year of bringing great music and the joy of singing to the Orcas Island musical community.
