The Cancer Support Group was formed last July by Bogdan and Carol Kulminski and Sue Foulk. It is designed to support anyone with cancer, a cancer survivor, a caretaker, or anyone with knowledge to share about cancer and treatment.

At our confidential informal meetings you’ll have a chance to share your experiences, problems, and feelings with those who are currently going through treatment, or those who are in remission or have been healed.  Your family members or friends and caregivers are very welcome to attend our meetings with or without you.  Often family and friends have their own concerns and feelings that need to be shared and understood.

The group has provided hope, compassion, inspiration, and practical information for those on the journey with cancer.  Over the last year, the group met diverse and talented speakers and guests who came to offer resources and expertise in their field.

Anyone who is interested in joining the group or who attended a meeting during our first year, is invited to the one year celebration for the Cancer Support Group on July 14 at the Fireside Room of the Orcas Island Community Church for 5 to 6:30 p.m.

We encourage those with victories this year to share with those still on the journey.  Bring friends and neighbors and let us start our new year of meetings and support with some fun, balloons, cake, and music.

Please RSVP to Sue Foulk at 2253 or Bogdan and Carol Kulminski at 4198.
