The Cancer Support Group will meet on March 12th in the Fireside Room at Orcas Island Community Church at 5 to 6 p.m. There will be a discussion about new cancer treatments and a video about using dogs for cancer detection in humans.
There will also be a time for sharing. Research shows that an individual’s outcomes are better with supportive persons/families and groups providing encouragement. We are a faith based support group that is open to believers, nonbelievers and everyone in between. We want you feeling better when you leave than when you arrived at the meeting. Our focus is celebrating your victories, small and large, and listening to your stories and concerns.
Our support group has room at the table for care providers, survivors, or those living with cancer. Won’t you join us on Thursday, March 12? For more information call Bogdan or Carol at 376-4198.
