The Annual Community [Foundation] grants process is underway. Over 25 organizations serving the Orcas community have applied for funding, and the Orcas Island Community Foundation Grants Committee has completed site visits, evaluated the proposals and vetted the projects.
Now the Foundation is seeking Partners in Philanthropy to help fund these valuable programs. If you, your organization or business is interested in joining us as Partners, please contact OICF Director Hilary Canty, 376-6423, or access the list of opportunities on the web, www.oicf.us.
Contributions of any size are welcome and donors may remain anonymous if so desired. In each of the past two years, donor contributions have tipped the pot over $100,000. Working together, we strengthen our entire community.
The Community Grants award celebration will be May 24th from 2-4 pm at the Orcas Center Madrona Room. It is a great event honoring the work of so many who help make Orcas a vital community and we hope to see you there!
