The Visual Arts Committee of Orcas Center has realized that most of the visual art displayed at the Center is the work of women. In an attempt to encourage more men to display their art, the “Man-Made” show has been put back on the calendar this year, in February.
“Man-Made” shows in the past have brought out dozens of men who have never displayed their work, showing paintings, wood carvings, hand-crafted furniture, metal sculpture, stone work, glass and lots more.
We are giving men a heads-up, a little lead time to finish those beautiful pieces in time for the February show. So, dust off some old stuff or create something new and bring it to the Center to be displayed throughout the month of February!
