British Soccer camp, the largest provider of summer soccer camps in the country, is coming to Orcas Island, August 3-7 at Buck Park, offering programs for ages 4-15.  All ability levels are welcome.

Individual foot-skills, technical drills, tactical practices, small-sided games, and daily tournament play will be included in this Orcas Rec program. Participants will receive their own ball and camp T-shirt.

All coaches hold a National Coaching License from Great Britain and offer premier soccer curriculum and learning through games philosophy that leads to maximum learning and improvement in all players, says Didier Gincig, Orcas Rec Coordinator. Players will be playing within their age groups.

For adults planning to help with Fall Youth Soccer, there will be a free adult coaching clinic Wednesday, August 5 from 5 to 6 p.m., where they can gather tips and learn drills and  coaching techniques from certified coaches. The coaching clinic is free of cost.

To register for the youth soccer camp or the coaching clinic, visit www.orcasrec.org, call the Orcas Island Recreation Program at 376-5339, or pick up a registration form at the public library or the Orcas Rec. Program office at the Senior Center.
