The San Juan County Sheriff’s Office, along with Orcas Fire and EMS and the US Coast Guard are currently looking for an African American male, in his mid 30’s, who fell off his paddleboard in Mountain Lake at Moran State Park.
At approximately 6:30 pm a call came into the Sheriff’s Office of a male in the water. A second male unsuccessfully attempted a rescue. The US Coast Guard is responding with a helicopter and dive rescue team.
The victim is believed to not be wearing a life vest. A search is currently underway.
